Dawn Rohn, Grade 3 Homeroom Grades 3 - 5 Science Grades 3 & 4 Social Studies
After graduation from Ayersville High School in 1982, I attended Defiance College. My
goal at that time was to major in pre-veterinary medicine, but I found my true love in education.
After graduating in 1986 I began substitute teaching. I was a full time sub in the Defiance County
area for 2 years. When my youngest child was in Pre-K I went back to teaching which eventually
led me to a job teaching 4th grade at St. John's Catholic School.
Teaching is one of my passions in life. I love the children! My favorite motto reads "The road you
leave behind you is another road that you're gonna have to go back down someday." I try to instill this
feeling to all children I teach. Having been a child with difficulties, followed by a brain injury
a few years ago, I know what struggles are all about. These struggles have been a blessing to my
teaching abilities as I can better understand a child's difficulties. To sum it all up, I love teaching.
When I look at my students and they are having fun, feeling loved, and learning, I feel like I have
accomplished the ultimate goal!
