Winter family event at Northwest State Community College

On Friday, February 11, from 7:00 – 8:30 pm NWSCC will host an evening of math fun for students in grades 4-8.  In this hands-on event, they will have fun with the “Shape of Math”, creating hexaflexagons, fractal structures, mandalas and tangrams.  They will finish the evening with a Shape Scavenger hunt for snacks! The Shape of Math Registration Form

# 1 Volunteer for a two hour shift. You are under no obligation to stay the entire evening – come for your shift and leave (or stay if you’re having a good time!).

#2 Volunteer for a two hour shift and purchase a $10 dinner ticket. The menu is AMAZING. Really, do not come hungry if you do not order an authentic Caribbean meal. You will regret it!!  Believe us, it’s been taste-tested and is hands-down, one of the best things about this year’s event – other than raising money for our school of course!

#3 Purchase a ticket to the event, no volunteering required! Tickets are $45 each for HCCS parents ($50 for non HCCS parents). Your ticket gives you the chance to win a grand prize of $2,000 cash and other great prizes. Admission to the Reverse Raffle includes a gourmet Caribbean dinner, entertainment and cash bar.
