Student Essay Winners

Congratulations to Brock Wannemacher (5th grade), Tessa Siler (4th grade) and Isabella Louderback (3rd grade) on being selected the class essay winner of Have you ever felt close to God? There were MANY exceptional essays. Over the next three weeks, we will share the winning essays.

When I Felt Close to God

4th Grade Essay Winner, Tessa Siler

I feel closest to God every day, not just when I pray or go to church. It’s when I see smiles on other people’s faces. They cheer me up whenever I’m sad and it’s just like God saying to me “What’s the matter?”. When I see someone sad, I try to help and make a conversation. I feel close to God the most when I read the Bible because I get to learn more about God and how He did things. I learn how He wants us to live our lives to meet Him in heaven. I see God everyday, not just in smiles, but in the clouds. I make the biggest smile. It is like God is fling down, jumping up, and bouncing on houses. Whenever He touches a house, it is a blessing of love. When there is a beautiful sunset it’s like God is flying to the sun. When He is in the middle of the sun, with all the light shining off of Him, He is sharing His love to everyone.
