New time for Orientation Night

July 24, 2019

Please note that the orientation night on August 15th will be held at 7:30 at the school chapel. (Not 5:30 as previously announced). August 15th is a Holy Day of Obligation for Catholic families. Mass times at St. John are 12pm and 6pm August 15th. St. Mary’s Mass times are (vigil) 6:30pm on August 14th and 8am on August 15th.

This time change has been made to accommodate families who are attending 6:00pm, Mass at St. Johns that night. Orientation will last approximately one hour. Convocation and Knighting of new students (new this year) will take place in the Chapel at 7:30. Following, all students and Pre-K/Young 5 parents are invited to an ice cream social in the gym. Parents with students in Kindergarten – 5th Grade: you will attend a brief meeting in your child’s classroom while your child participates in the ice cream social. You will receive important information for the year such as sign-up for parties, field trips, academic expectations, classroom rules, etc. This meeting is a great time to get to know your child’s teacher and have questions answered. If you have more than one classroom to attend we encourage parents to attend together.

PreK and Young 5 families have a separately scheduled orientation meeting with teachers.
