Reminder: No School Monday October 18th

There is NO SCHOOL Monday October 18th due to the scheduled Teacher In-Service.

Important COVID Update

A student or staff member at Holy Cross Catholic School has been diagnosed with COVID-19. We are working with the Defiance County Health Department to prevent the spread of this disease. Those who have been identified as close contacts will be contacted by the Health Department and provided guidance. If you have not been contacted, other than through this email, it is unlikely that you or your student were identified as a close contact. Should you have an questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact a Public Health Nurse with the Health Department at 419-784-3818.

End of the First Quarter is Friday October 22

Continue to encourage your child(ren) and help them to finish the quarter strong! Ask your child what their personal or class goal is. All students who achieve their goal by Wednesday will get to enjoy cotton candy during the Quarterly Reward Celebration Wednesday (10/20) afternoon!

One More Volunteer Needed for Next Wednesday!

Thank you to those parents who are volunteering to help with the activity stations at the Quarterly Reward Event next week Wednesday! We are looking for one more volunteer with Virtuse Training to assist with set up and an activity station from 1-3pm on Wednesday Oct. 20th. Please email for information. Thank you!

Welcome Joe Reinhart, New Maintenance

HCCS is pleased to welcome Mr. Joe Reinhart (yes, he is a relation to Mrs. Reinhart’s husband!) to the HCCS family. Students will begin to see Mr. Joe in the building next week. Mr. Joe will be assisting with the maintenance of our school part time throughout the week.

Important Survey

You are being asked to complete this survey as part of an annual assessment to help all members of the school community (students, parents, and the adults who work at the school) understand how everyone feels about your child’s school. As you respond to each item, focus on your thoughts and feelings based on your own personal experience with the school, as well as your perceptions of your child’s experience as a student. There are no right or wrong answers— this is not a test! We just want to know how you feel. Your responses will provide us with important information to help your child’s school become even better. All of your responses are completely anonymous. No one from the school will ever see your answers, and no identifying information (such as name, child’s name or survey ID) will be recorded with your answers. All results will be reported to your school only in terms of how each population responded. Individual responses are never seen by your school. The survey should take you approximately 10-15 minutes to complete. Please try to respond to all items.
