United Way of Defiance County
The United Way awarded HCCS a grant to provide additional tutoring and classroom aid to students who could benefit. We will be accessing MAP score tests to help identify areas where greater student support is needed. The United Way also provided funding to purchase special social distancing sticker cues for the floors of the school. These stickers have greatly aided students in safely social distancing while in the halls.

Hickey & Froelich Families
These two families made it possible for the installation of a dishwasher in the teacher’s lounge. We appreciate the ability to be able to sanitize not only kitchen items, but high-touch items and toys used in classrooms.

Optimist International of Defiance

Thanks to our local Optimist organization, each student has been provided with a high quality HCCS lanyard. This lanyard helps students store their masks when not in use. With these lanyards, masks are kept cleaner and don’t get misplaced. Thank you Optimist!

Johns Manville
Members of the Johns Manville employee’s Stars Team donated $500 to HCCS for the upgrade of dry erase boards in classrooms. We appreciate you!

Mr. and Mrs. Miller, Mr. & Mrs. Varano, Mrs. Schira and Mr. Veltri
